To achieve its objectives, the Turning Blue partnership, with the support of some key stakeholders will develop the following results:

Turning Blue Roadmap

A roadmap on attractive ‘blue careers’ for vulnerable young people serving time in prison. It will be a key-tool for bridging the future with the present covering different layers:​
  • Blue economy sectors available at local, regional, national, and European level
  • Attractive ‘blue careers’ for this target group
  • The needed knowledge, skills and competences to perform these blue careers
  • ‘Turning Blue’ Roadmap providing guidance on the necessary steps to reach these careers.
  • Turning Blue Network, to start and maintain cooperation between Blue Economy industries / sectors and prison services.

Turning Blue Awareness Training

​​This result will provide innovative and tailor-made training materials on sustainable blue economy to inspire and engage young people serving time in prison (between 16 and 30 years) to pursue a sustainable ‘blue career’ in one of the Blue Economy sectors.
Coming soon also in Greek, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian. ​

 Turning Blue Intervention Model

Within the Turning Blue Intervention Model there will  be designed and created new models and tools that will allow the sustainability, transferability and scaling-up the impact of the project. They are: ​
  • a transition model for the blue economy sector to ensure a well-articulated process between prison services, professional counsellors, blue economy sectors and civil society organisations providing after-detention support to these young people
  • a job-matching platform
  • an intervention Trainer Manual
  • a Capacity-building of prison professionals & career counsellors on the intervention model
  • a 'Turning Blue' Mentorship Programme
  • a Capacity-building of blue industry professionals.
